Publication KSSG-OKS III - House 07A
Building monograph. 2025
DESCRIPTION
KSSG-OKS III – House 07A, edited by Marko Sauer and Christoph Wieser, published by park books, 2025
Since 2011, planning and implementation of the comprehensive expansion of the Cantonal Hospital of St. Gallen (KSSG) and the Children's Hospital of Eastern Switzerland (OKS) has been underway in St. Gallen. The project, developed by Zurich architect Fawad Kazi in collaboration with the PG KSSG-OKS planning consortium, will completely transform the hospital site: by 2029, a large, interconnected building complex will be created.
This book is the third in a five-volume monograph series on this urban development project, which is significant in terms of urban planning, architecture, construction, and hospital operations. The focus is on Building 07A, the largest new building in the project, which gives the entire complex a new urban face. The high-rise building, which is mainly used as a ward block, is based on a three-story, elongated base structure with a spacious, public roof terrace. The main entrance to the hospital is also located here. (Publisher: park books)
