Publication ETH Zurich - Building LEE
Building monograph. 2015
DESCRIPTION
ETH Zurich - Building LEE, ed. Christoph Wieser, Verlag park books, 2015
ETH Zurich's new LEE building, located in the immediate vicinity of the prominent historical main buildings of ETH and the university, is part of Zurich's "city crown" and is thus an outstanding urban development project. Its architect, Fawad Kazi, has created an extraordinary design that also breaks new ground in terms of construction.
Accordingly, three main aspects form the focus of this book: urban integration, construction and materialization of the concrete element building as well as a comprehensive documentation of the building in plan and image. Thematic essays are supplemented by short texts that highlight various aspects of the LEE building. Rounded off with texts by the architect, the client and the specialist planners as well as picture essays by the photographers Georg Aerni and Rolf Steinegger, this construction monograph offers a comprehensive picture of a building that seems as natural as it is complex.
