What are the most critical questions for architects to pose now? Contrary to the current mainstream fixation on agendas such as sustainability, ecology, architects' identities, problem-solving, social engagement, adaptive reuse, and the evergrowing assault on form, authorship, artistry, and alternative views, curator Vladimir Belogolovsky focuses our attention on architecture itself. Where do we derive our inspirations? What is the role of an architect? What kind of architecture do we try to achieve? How do we start a project? What excites us? He directs these questions to seven international architects and brings together their responses in a group exhibition, Out of ConText. The result is a critique of the current moment in architecture in which we no longer discuss the discipline's aspirations. The show serves as an open platform that invites us to identify and debate our ideas - contextual and personal, consequential and random, rational and intuitive, pragmatic and philosophical, calculated and emotional, aligned and contradictory, and as diverse as we are. The show invites visitors to contribute to the discussion by taking part in live interviews conducted by the curator within the installation. (Vladimir Belogolovsky)

The exhibition featured an interview with Fawad Kazi by Vladimir Belogolovsky, plans and an urban development concept model by Fawad Kazi Architekt GmbH, a visualization by Virtual Design Unit GmbH, photos by Georg Aerni and Florian Brunner, the building demographics of the Cantonal Hospital St. Gallen KSSG – Eastern Switzerland Children's Hospital OKS, volumes I-III, published in 2018, 2021, and 2025 by Marko Sauer and Christoph Wieser through park books, and a mockup of the FSB 1254 door handle.
